Black Alter Console

This Black Altar Console is a prime example of the fine carving techniques of Asian woodworkers, when considering the scalloped carvings on the apron and elaborate punched carvings between the front and back legs. Purchased from a monastery, this console was used to hold offerings of fruit and cheese below pictures of religious deities.

Grand Red Buffet

This gorgeous Elmwood buffet features one of the most lustrious finishes we’ve ever seen. 10 coats of alternating deep red lacquers with black undertones gives this antique treasure an almost ‘textured’ feel in its finish. Simple, clean lines make this piece versatile enough to compliment any style of décor. Traditional round hardware on six door compartments make this piece as functional as it is beautiful.

Red Ming Buffet

This bold antique buffet features a brighter, truer red finish with bronze gold hardware. Extremely functional with four drawers and four doors, this piece is versatile and beautiful. The finish shows an excellent example of the вЂњwabi sabiвЂќ style meaning the desirable rustic imperfections from years of authentic use have been cleanly lacquered over, preserving the original look and feel of the cabinet.

Beijing Alter Cabinet

This fine alter cabinet hails from Beijing and displays a warm, medium brown wood tone finish. An excellent example of mortise and tennon construction, this cabinet was made over a 100 years ago without the use of glue or nails. Fine, artistic carving detail on the very edle of the side flairs add visual interest while preserving the simplicity of the piece. Three drawers line the top while two smaller doors at the bottom offer access to the entire cabinet.

Old World Buffet

This unique one of a kind piece originated in Northern China. Subtle, original painting in various shades of moss, golds and ivory adorn the front three sections of the otherwise simple black cabinet. The top of this cabinet is gorgeous with an authentic warm patina in a medium wood tone.

Zen Buffet

Previously used in 18th century dining area this piece features an almost cherry colored wood finish, intricate multiplying flower carvings on the side wings and sculpted drawers. The cabinet contains three drawers across the top and two large doors. The inside has one fixed shelf. This piece would make a stunning dining or large entry piece.

Painted Gansu Buffet

This one hundred year old Chinese cabinet from Gansu is made of Elm wood. The main color is a deep brick red with three original hand painted doors and black trim. Three additional drawers flank the bottom of this original antique treasure. This piece is extremely versatile and functional, perfect for a dining room, bedroom dresser or large entry. Behind each door is one removable shelf.

4 drawer 4 door buffet

This Chinese Rosewood buffet has shades of dark red to golden blond, depending on how the light hits this amazing piece. Scalloped carved trim adorns the sides. It has one stationary shelf inside. An excellent Chinese Antique, perfect for the serious collector or designer.

Tall Gansu Cabinet

This tall 120 year old Gansu cabinet was originally used in the kitchen for storing vegetables and other food items. This tall buffet features interesting grate doors at the top and two large solid doors on the bottom half. The straight lines of this rustic piece will compliment so many styles of décor. The cabinet is made of Elm and has a luminous wood finish.

Shandong Low Buffet

This low, sleek antique cabinet was often found in the more private areas of the home and was used to store the familyвЂ™s valuables. This piece features a pair of center doors and a set of 2 drawers on either side. The long low configuration is perfect as a stand for todayвЂ™s plasma televisions.

Carved Alter

Our Carved Altar is from the Qing Dynasty, is slightly distressed due to age but luxuriously finished in a rich mahogany lacquer. Just beyond the functional doors that feature bronze circular hardware and ample storage space is a functioning drawer at the top. At Circa we envision this piece to be a perfect coffee table for a loveseat, or as a luxurious addition to the foot of a twin size bed.

Black Beijing Sideboard

This is an antique piece from the province of Shandong China and is approximately 80 years old. Made out of Elm wood, this exquisite console table has a black gloss finish with brown wood distressed edges showing through. The antiqued gold hardware makes this piece very desirable.

Antique Buffet

This gorgeous, deep scarlet red antique buffet has three drawers across the top and 2 functional doors at the bottom. Constructed in the mortise and tenon style, this cabinet has flared side fins with traditional Chinese carving. A rustic understated piece with great lines.

This vintage table from the Dongbei Province in China has a medium brown finish and a thick butcher block like top. Side fins pull out to the sides and reveal open storage areas where drawers would be. An excellent console for a great room or entry.
