Our Black Linhai Bench Table would look stunning as a coffee table, at the foot of a bed or even in an entryway as extra seating in a tight space! This piece features three functioning drawers and a crackle finish on the top. Constructed of cypress wood, and discovered in Zhejiang, even though this piece dates back 100 years, it still has a long life ahead of it in your home.

Elders Chair

This antique Elders chair was constructed in the Officials Hat style around 110 years ago. A terrific wood finish with a great patina graces the chair.

Antique Shandong Chair Pair

These gorgeous antique Shandong chairs display a rubbed darker red finish with touches of wood grain and black showing through. The most striking thing about these chairs is the curved, rounded arms and back and the interesting detail carved into the back splat.

Officials Hat Chair

Our Officials Hat Chairs are formal chairs that were placed in the centre of the hall in the homes of the wealthy, and typically the heads of the family sat here when guests were received. The chair is known as an Officials Hat Chair because the crest rail resembles the tapered ends of the hat worn by officials of imperial China. Our armless Teak Shandong Chair is 100 years old; made of durable teak and possesses added detail with scroll carvings at the crest rails.

Petite Black Horseshoe Chair

Our horseshoe-back chairs are very symbolic in the Asian culture as they are only utilized when welcoming important guests. Our Small Black Horseshoe Chairs are finished in a black lacquer and possess rubbings at the chairs outline which allow red lacquer accents to peek through. At the chairs back are cream Chinese characters which probably relate to the original family who commissioned the chairs! In addition to this style we also have the partner to this chair which is stylistically a bit different as it possesses rubbings that allow the natural wood to peak through and beautiful carvings of a mother and her children.
